INTERVIEWER: How do you get chemistry?
DAVID: You know, it’s just- it’s ingrained. You’re just lucky with it. You know, you’re fortunate to have a co-star like Emily. The two of us just kind of bonded. It just started like that. There’s not really a formula for it. It’s just consistent— There’s an attraction definitely, that happens with it. But there’s also a respect and responsibility as a leading man in order to take care of your co-star. You have to take care of her and you have to give her whatever she needs.. or wants!
One time I went out drinking with David and had a few too many. So Zooey called David to ask him what I drank. And also to reprimand him for letting me drink so much.
